Are you someone who has to build up the courage to ask a question? Do you find that when you’ve just begun to open your mouth to ask a question about dental care, it often takes one second too long and the moment passes? Unfortunately, we know that this is all too common. We say “unfortunately” because we love when patients come to us with a desire for additional knowledge, more education, or simply for clarification. Allow us to help you feel more comfortable bringing up your thoughts by providing you with some quick guidance.
The Best Time To Ask
Your dental checkup is a wonderful time to bring up questions about dental care. As a matter of fact, your visit for a restorative treatment or cosmetic procedure or any other type of appointment is a good opportunity, too. You might see what we’re trying to say here. Any time you are at our practice for a visit and have a question, we hope you know that you can feel free to ask. There’s never a time when a question is not welcome.
How To Break The Ice
Not sure how to start asking questions? Worried that when we ask if you have any questions, you might suddenly go completely blank? Do yourself a favor to prevent this from happening. Write out your dental care questions. It might be in a small notepad, on your phone, or on a piece of paper. Bring it with you in hand. When we ask if you have questions, pull it out and let us know you’ve prepared some questions for us. This is an efficient way to make sure you feel comfortable and to remember everything you were hoping to bring up.
