What Is the Des Moines Area Bluegrass Festival?
The Des Moines Area Bluegrass Festival is two days packed full of bluegrass music from some of the area’s best bands as well as workshops for those who attend.
When Is the Festival?
The bluegrass festival is today, Friday, February 28th, 2020, from 3 PM until 10 PM and tomorrow, Saturday, February 29th, 2020, from 10 AM until 10 PM.
Where Is the Festival Being Held?
The Des Moines Area Bluegrass Festival is being held at Stoney Creek Hotel and Conference Center, located at 5291 Stoney Creek Ct, Johnston, IA 50131.
Who Will Be Performing at the Festival?
On Friday, there will be performances from:
- The Anderegg Family
- Riverbend Bluegrass
- Spring Street
- Casey and the Atta Boys
There will also be an opening jam session, an open stage, and raffles!
On Saturday, there will be performances from:
- The Anderegg Family
- Casey and the Atta Boys
- Bluegrass Blondies
- Riverbend Bluegrass
- Spring Street
Many of these groups will have two performances over the course of the day, so you can check the schedule for exact times and information. On Saturday, there will also be workshops, raffles, an open stage, and a silent auction!
How Much Are Tickets?
Tickets will be $5 per day for youth aged 13 to 16 years old, with 12 and under being free each day. Adult tickets are $20 for Friday, $25 for two shows on Saturday, or $40 for a weekend pass.
