On Saturday, October 1, Des Moines Area Community College is hosting a 5K Walk/Run event! The run, which is being organized by the DMACC Alumni Association, is opening up the event to the public, and special prizes will be awarded to competitors in different age groups. If you register by September 12, you can enjoy a discounted admission fee and guaranteed access to a commemorative shirt, bag, and medal!
Running can be a great form of exercise, one that helps you maintain your physical health in several key ways. Smile care is also important to your well-being in the long term. By keeping up with good habits at home and regularly scheduling dental exams, you will be able to protect yourself against different threats that can hurt your appearance and health. Our Ankeny, IA dentist’s office is here to help you preserve your smile, and we can offer different treatment solutions at times when problems need to be treated.
The DMACC 5K event is taking place on the morning of Saturday, October 1. The race will begin at 8am, and packet pickup for runners will be available from 7am until 7:30. Runners will also be able to pick up their packets the day before from 12pm until 6pm.
The race will begin and end at the DMACC campus, with the designated trail creating a loop around the area. Runners will meet at 2006 S Ankeny Blvd, Parking Lot L2.
Until September 12, the registration cost will be $30. After this, the cost will raise to $35 from September 13 through September 28, and will rise to $40 after September 28.
Participants will follow a path around the DMACC campus for an invigorating 5K run or walk. The race route has been certified, and the event is open to the public.
